The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) on Tuesday, May 11, reminded the public that selling of chainsaws is strictly regulated and requires government permits, particularly from the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR).
The NBI issued the reminder following the arrest last May 6 of three persons who were caught selling chainsaws in several establishments in Nueva Viscaya.
NBI Officer-In-Charge Director Eric B. Distor said the NBI’s Bayombong District Office (NBI-BAYDO) conducted entrapment operations against business firms Powersaw Trading, Ganie Saw Center and Blanco Agricultural Farm Machinery Trading that resulted in the arrest of their workers identified as Emero M. Saguid, Isagani B. Fornoda, and Randy B. Ramirez.
