More Suspects Arrested Over Mining Camp Robbery

Officers of the Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) at Henderson have arrested third and fourth suspect in relation to Winwin robbery incident in Central Guadalcanal.
The third suspect was arrested on the 31 December 2020 at Aligetor Creek in East of Honiara and the fourth suspect was arrested at Tanatita Village in Central Guadalcanal on 2 January 2021.
The third suspect is a 27-years-old male person from Malaita and the fourth suspect is a 42-year-old male person from Central Guadalcanal.

Australian High Commissioner Dr Lachlan Strahan travelled with Foreign Affairs Minister Jeremiah Manele and Health Minister Dr Culwick Togamana to their home province of Isabel last week to underscore the deep, multi-faceted relationship between Solomon Islands and Australia.
He highlighted Australia’s strong commitment to allocating funds to advance development in the provinces. During the two-day trip on 14-16 December, Dr Strahan handed over 11 water tanks to communities in the province’s south and equipment to Buala Hospital.
