FUZHOU, China, Dec. 22, 2020 /PRNewswire/ Pingtan Marine Enterprise Ltd. (NASDAQ: PME) ( Pingtan or the Company ), today announced that the Company s rebuilt refrigerated transport vessel, Fu Yuan Yu Yun 992, and 6 large-scale squid jigging vessels set sail to sea in mid-December 2020.

The rebuilt refrigerated transport vessel, Fu Yuan Yu Yun 992, was completed in October 2020. Its vessel length is 132.06 meters and gross tonnage is 8374. It is the largest fishery support vessel in China so far as approved by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of the People s Republic of China. It left Shidao Port in Weihai City, Shandong Province on December 12, 2020 and will operate in the international waters.

China’s Mawei shipyard has cut the first steel for two DP2 B-Type vessels ordered by Dutch shipping company Spliethoff.
The steel cutting ceremony for the 12,500 dwt tween deck multipurpose ships was held in Fuzhou on 19 December.

To be named MV Brouwersgracht and MV Bloemgracht, the newbuilds are expected to be delivered to its owner in June and July 2022, respectively. The vessels combine the intake of a multipurpose vessel with a DP2, station-keeping ability of up to Bft 6, making it ideal for supplying large volumes and heavy cargo directly offshore. To obtain the fast, safe and efficient loading and discharge of pipes, both on and offshore, the vessels have a removable, automated, pipe-handling gantry crane installed.
Langh Ship buys container vessels
Langh Ship expands its capacity with the purchase of two 889 TEU container vessels from Germany.
Langh Ship Oy Ab has recently integrated container vessels Charlotta and Christina into its fleet. Charlotta was built in 2009 and Christina in 2010 at the Mawei shipyard in China. They are ice strengthened to ice class 1A and are therefore ideal for traffic on the Baltic Sea even in wintertime.
Christina and Charlotta are now time chartered to the French shipowner CMA CGM, which operates in ocean freight as well as in feeder and short sea shipping with container vessels. Christina is currently employed on the Gdynia-Tilbury line, while Charlotta is in liner trade on the Mediterranean Sea. Laura Langh-Lagerlöf, Managing Director of Langh Ship, says that the charter to CMA CGM made the purchase of the vessels possible.
