Walton eyes post-Covid business growth

Walton has observed continuous business growth in the electronics sector despite the challenges of post-corona pandemic.
The observation came at a conference titled ‘Meet the Partners’ held at Hotel Tulip See Pearl Beach Resort and Spa in Cox’s Bazar on Tuesday.’
More than two thousands distributors of Walton from all over the country took part in the conference.
Walton Hi-Tech Industries Limited (WHIL) Directors SM Ashraful Alam, SM Mahbubul Alam and Managing Director Engineer Golam Murshed inaugurated the conference with fireworks display.

Walton to export TVs in Romania

Bangladeshi electronics brand Walton is going to start its distributor business in the European market through starting export of LED televisions under its own brand to Romania.
The local multinational electronics brand arranged a programme titled ‘1st Walton Television Brand Business in Romania’ on a virtual platform held at the Walton Corporate Office in Dhaka on February 14, said a press release on Monday.

It held a road-show titled ‘The Rise of Bengal Tiger: Potentials of Bangladesh Capital Markets’ on Tuesday with the aim to reach out to non-resident Bangladeshi investors and attract foreign investment in Bangladesh.
The summit, sponsored by UCB Stock Brokerage Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of United Commercial Bank Limited, will continue at the Creek ballroom of Park Hyatt, Dubai until Friday.
Shibli Rubayat-Ul-Islam, chairman of SEC, chaired the road-show. He highlighted the important role of the capital market in raising long term funds through bond and Sharia-complaint bond or Sukuk to solve the maturity mismatch problem long prevailing in Bangladesh’s banking sector.
