The Travelodge hotel in Warrington town centre was used to house the homeless and protect them from coronavirus last year. The scheme followed a Government allocation of £545,000 to Warrington Borough Council to tackle rough sleeping and support some of the town’s most vulnerable. But the Labour-run council says it has not received any additional funding from the Government during the latest period of the Covid-19 crisis.
