Bundaberg community rallies around family of William Wheeler who died from neuroblastoma

A tight-knit community is rallying around the parents of a young boy who died just days before Christmas from an aggressive cancer. William Wheeler, from Bundaberg, Queensland, lost his battle with neuroblastoma - a cancer that develops from nerve cells - on December 15.   The two-year-old boy had been fighting the cancer since he was just 11-months-old, never experiencing a birthday outside hospital.  William s mother Lauren Wheeler said her son was such an amazing little boy and he was brave until the very end .   In a Facebook post following William s death, Lauren noted it had been two weeks since we watched you take your last breath .

With the help of local businesses, organizations, and individuals, more than 260 veterans will be honored. This is approximately 90 more than last year, according to Linda Smith, Location Coordinator for Martin.
