BEING. is the moniker for the wonderfully talented Auckland-based Indie artist Jasmine Balmer. As well as performing with her band she has recently been wowing crowds with acoustic solo shows including the 2021 Auckland Folk Festival. Her 30-minute solo set at the Wine Cellar was a stunner - Marty Duda 13th Floor.
Sharing her set will be the amazing ambient folk artist Jazmine Mary. Check out her beautiful album Snakes at Night. Her songs are described as visceral and haunting, inviting the audience to travel through scapes mysterious, bold and watery

Now that s what we call a weird week. Thankfully Covid restrictions have completely lifted for most of Aotearoa, but Auckland still remains at
Alert Level 2 until Monday at least, following our three day surprise lockdown. This means that live events in the super city can still take place, but everyone must be spaced out (remember that phrase?) one metre apart and gigs are capped at 100 maximum attendees brush up on the details
here. Understandably that s thrown a few curveballs Tāmaki Makaurau s way this weekend, but there s still plenty of seated and unrestricted shows happening throughout NZ to make the most of.
