MultiChoice Talent Factory (MTF) is inviting aspiring African film makers, including those from Malawi to apply for its third edition of the film and television training programme.
Launched in May 2018, the MTF Academy has so far given 120 students the chance to harness their expertise in film and TV, moulding them into skilled industry professionals.

MultiChoice Group has launched a pop-up movie channel Afro-Cinema on M-Net Movies dedicated to showcasing and celebrating contemporary African films as celebration for the Africa Day which falls on Tuesday, May 25.
The Afro-Cinema Channel has been available from Friday, May 21 and runs up to Sunday, May 30 on Channel 198 to DStv customers on Access to Premium packages across the continent.
This is also alongside what MultiChoice Group launched in collaboration with the MultiChoice Talent Factory (MTF) also on Friday to add to same the same pomp of celebrating Africa Day through the love of African cinema.
A statement from MultiChoice says the Afro-Cinema Channel is curated to celebrate Africa’s cultural diversity, aptly reflected and captured in the work that is being produced by filmmakers all over the continent.
