AUBURN, Ala Bryan Harsin has been named the 28th head football coach in Auburn s 127 year history, Athletics Director Allen Greene announced Tuesday. Harsin spent the previous seven seasons as head coach at Boise State where he compiled a 69-19 record while winning three Mountain West Conference titles.
A former Boise State quarterback, assistant coach and offensive coordinator, Harsin is 76-24 overall as a head coach – including one season at Arkansas State – and has directed his programs to bowl games each season. His impressive resume at Boise saw him lead the Broncos to five 10-win seasons, seven consecutive bowl appearances and six MWC West Division Championships. This past season he led the program to a 5-2 mark and a trip to the MWC championship game.

Duke s Mayo Bowl
MADISON, WI (WSAU) â The Wisconsin Badgers are going bowling in 2020 after all.
Fresh off their overtime win over Minnesota, the Badgers announced they have accepted an invitation to the Dukeâs Mayo Bowl in Charlotte, NC where they will take on Wake Forest University on December 30th at 11 AM.
This will mark the 19th straight bowl appearance for Wisconsin, the 3rd-longest such streak in the country. Wisconsin was tied with Boise State, but the Broncos opted-out of the 2020 Bowl Season following their loss to San Jose State in the Mountain West Championship game.
The game will mark the first-ever meeting between Wisconsin and Wake Forest on the football field.
Mountain West Championship Prediction
At 4:15 p.m. ET on Saturday No. 24 San Jose State will take on 5-1 Boise State in the Mountain West Championship Game. The Spartans have been one of the bigger surprises in college football this season but can they pull off the upset versus the Broncos?

Boise State sophomore RB George Holani (knee) is expected to play against San Jose State this Saturday. Holani (5 11/206) who was already wearing a brace on his left knee, came up holding his leg after a rushing attempt during the third quarter versus Wyoming on Saturday. And while the sophomore was cleared to play, he was a question mark during the week and did not look to be completely healthy while on the field pre-injury.
