TRUMANSBURG, N.Y. – In 2005, Dave Kuranda, of Rochester, was looking for something new.
He thought he needed to find himself a “semi-retirement activity,” something in which he could indulge his hobby of “bringing things back to life.”
He directed his energies and his passions to the historic Federal Colonial Revival-style home at 16 Elm Street in Trumansburg.
The home dates back to 1921 and was built for William Pierson Biggs, a widely known local hardware merchant. Known as Juniper Hill, the house’s inspiration was the Governor’s Palace at Williamsburg, Virginia.
