Police close off part of Hill Lane in Southampton Police have closed off Hill Lane in Southampton. Officers have placed a cordon from the Winston Hotel up to Atherley Bowling Club. Darwin Road, off Hill Lane, has also been closed, up to its junction with Thornbury Avenue. As of 12.15am, the reason for the cordon is unknown, but police cars, police vans, and an ambulance are on the scene.

Fined £400 and disqualified for 12 months. Ordered to pay £40 victim surcharge and £85 court costs. DAVID NORBERT BALOGH, 18, of Oaktree Road, Southampton. Pleaded guilty to drug driving. Fined £375 and disqualified for 12 months. Ordered to pay £38 victim surcharge and £85 court costs. CORBEN HILLS, 23, of The Mount, Poulner. Pleaded guilty to drink driving. Fined £392 and disqualified for 17 months. Ordered to pay £85 court costs and £39 victim surcharge.
