St. Mary Diversion, a remarkable success in a trying year

One of the more remarkable stories of the year is that of the St. Mary Diversion and it s 22-week-long repair after experiencing a catastrophic failure back in May. Nearly all involved with the effort called it a remarkable example of teamwork and inter-organizational cooperation in a year plagued by social isolation. U.S. Bureau of Reclamation Commissioner Brenda Burman said this project is an example to the nation of what they can do when they work together.
Community Christmas Dinner set for Friday
The Eagles Club is still looking for volunteers for the Community Christmas dinner. The event will be held despite the COVID-19 pandemic but will contain changes to follow social distancing guidelines. No in-club dining will occur, instead people will go through a walk-through line to receive the meal and leave the club. Masks will be required as well. Deliveries will still be made Christmas Day, and volunteers are still needed for that as well as for helping in the club Christmas Eve. Volunteers will be delivering the meals in a given area, alongside the Havre Jaycees and the Monta.
