Havre Police Department Nathan Jay Gopher of Rocky Boy, 44, was arrested on a Justice or City court warrant after a caller at a Third Avenue business reported suspicious activity Tuesday at 3:24 p.m.
Hill County Sheriff s Office A caller on 15th Street Northeast asked Tuesday at 11:30 a.m. for assistance getting to the hospital. Samuel Reuben Onespot of Box Elder, 28, was arrested on charges of speeding, driving with a suspended or revoked driver s license and no vehicle insurance and on four Justice or City court warrants and Ronald Dale Stump Jr. was arrested on a Justice or City court warrant during a vehicle stop on Beaver Creek Road Tuesday at 2:41 p.m.

Havre Police Department A Blaine County Sheriff s Office caller asked Monday at 4:07 p.m. for assistance with a well-being check on 14th Avenue. Officers investigated a report of an assault reported at 2:27 a.m. today on First Street Northeast.
Hill County Sheriff s Office Sandy Bob Strauser was served a state District Court warrant at Hill County Detention Center at 4:01 p.m. Monday. A caller at U.S. Highway 87 and Laredo Road reported a trespasser Monday at 6:35 p.m.

Hill County announces $1M in COVID expense funding

Hill County Commissioner Diane McLean announced that the county has received over $1,000,000 in funding from the state to reimburse COVID-19 related expenses at this month’s country officials’ meeting. McLean said the process of applying for these funds was exceedingly tedious and has been worked on since September 2020, but the county has received $1,123,000 which is unencumbered by CARES Act restrictions. She said the commission discussed how to use the funds and determined that they should be put in a fund devoted specifically to addressing infrastructure needs in the Hill County C.
