The girl was found about 6 p.m. Sunday in the water in the Mountain Lakes subdivision. Hayden police and paramedics responded to the scene. Hayden Police Chief James Chapman said life-saving measures were taken by first responders on the scene and the girl was then transported to Children’s of Alabama where she remained until her death Tuesday.
