IPOH: Two refugees from Myanmar were fined RM2,500 each by a Sessions Court here for trying to bribe a policeman with RM60.
Both Abdul Manaf Abu Khalaf, 28, and Arif Dilda Amin, 24, helpers at a wholesale market here, pleaded guilty to the charge before Judge S. Indera Nehru.
“Considering the guilty plea, the facts of the case, as well as the mitigating factors, a RM2,500 fine each is imposed. If both of you are unable to settle the fine, it is two months jail in default, ” she said.
