ANKARA, Turkey (AP) A metal monolith that mysteriously appeared and disappeared on a field in southeast Turkey turned out to be a publicity gimmick before a government event Tuesday during which Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced a space program for the country.
The three-meter-high (about 10-foot-high) metal slab bearing an ancient Turkic script, was found Friday by a farmer in Sanliurfa province. It was discovered near the UNESCO World Heritage site of Gobekli Tepe, which is home to megalithic structures dating to the 10th millennium B.C., thousands of years before Stonehenge.

Tim Wallis family have spent more than 10 years wondering what happened to him. Wallis born Timothy Lees was last seen by his family in Dunedin on August 6, 2010.
He d been in a bit of trouble with police and was doing community work.
His brother saw him there that morning but Wallis skipped out on the afternoon work and was never seen again.
In the years that followed, Wallis two sisters died both took their own lives and his father passed away.

Each time there was a death the family tried to locate Wallis but had no luck.

KARACHI: The Supreme Court (SC) on Monday turned down the plea of a senior accountant at the Education Department against his dismissal from service over corruption charges, reported a private news channel.
An apex court bench, headed by Chief Justice Gulzar Ahmed, heard the case at the Karachi registry. During the hearing, the chief justice asked a lawyer representing the appellant: “Do you think we don’t know what happens in government accounts? This is an embezzlement of Rs70 million but even Rs7 billion are embezzled,” he remarked. “You say this is a human error but Rs70 million got embezzled,” the country’s top judge observed.
