A man had to have more than £500 worth of dental treatment after being punched in the face while on a night out in the city.
Marvin Shalders, 52, had been in Gonzo’s Tea Room in London Street in Norwich with friends when he struck the victim in the groin, saying something along the lines of “stop looking at my girlfriend”.
Norwich Magistrates Court heard the victim went to get door staff and tell them what had happened.
Denise Holland, prosecuting, said after finding Shalders the victim was “punched with a full fist to the face”.

A young girl suffered fractures to her back after a crash on the A47 at Great Yarmouth, a court has heard.
Robert Walker, 72, had been driving his Volvo on the A47 Acle Straight.
Norwich Magistrates Court heard there was a crash after Walker went into the back of an Astra vehicle in front which had been braking and was pushed into the rear of the vehicle infront.
Denise Holland, prosecuting, said one of the children in the car in front suffered fractures to her vertebrate and a boy in the car suffered whiplash.

A Lynn motorist who blew almost four times the drink-drive limit after hitting a wall later refused to give an evidential sample.
As a result, Marius Palubeckis was charged with failing to provide a specimen and received the minimum 12-month disqualification.
With the benefit of being offered a drink-driver rehabilitation course, the 42-year-old could end up serving a ban of nine months.

Arrested Fairstead man, 20, damaged inside of police van

A Fairstead man used handcuffs to damage the inside of a police van.
Travis John Ward had been arrested for being drunk and disorderly in Lynn s Norfolk Street in the early hours of September 20.
Lynn Magistrates Court heard on Thursday that Ward, 20, was spotted by police shouting abuse at door staff.
