Officials are investigating after a bomb threat in Plainfield Friday night.
Police said they received a bomb threat from an unknown number directed towards an address on Pickett Road in Central Village at approximately 5:50 p.m.
Crews responded to the scene and closed the surrounding roadways, along with evacuating the property where the threat was directed, police said.

PLAINFIELD, Conn. Officers responded to an address on Pickett Road in Central Village after receiving a bomb threat.
Police say they received an unknown number directed at the address and responded to the scene with the help of the Central Village Fire Department and Connecticut State Police.
The property threatened and the surrounding area were evacuated. Police searched the address using explosives detection K9 and found no threat.
The incident remains under investigation by Plainfield Police.

The sheriff s office has investigated five homicides this year, including the three homicides in this case, according to Sanders. The other two homicides are considered solved with arrests being made.
These three homicides are the only ones that remain open, Sanders wrote.
The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives is also actively assisting in the investigation, according to Sanders. The ATF is offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to the identification, arrest, and conviction of the person or people involved.
