Bus company Arriva Midlands East is changing routes and increasing services in Coalville and Ashby due to new housing developments.
PLAN: Hospital Lane CONCERNS have been raised about building new homes in Powick with villagers saying the area could not cope. The plans put forward by Malcolm Rankin would see nine homes built off Hospital Lane in Powick but several objections have been raised by neighbours who have said enough is enough when it comes to housebuilding in the village. One villager in Hospital Lane said: We have been a building site constantly for years. The local school cannot cater for the extra [people]. The one access out of the estate is ridiculously prohibitive and dangerous in the winter. There are no local amenities. Enough is enough.
