ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - National Command and Operation Centre has shown concern on reported violations of the instructions from various cities regarding implementation of SOPs during 8th to 16th of this month.
In a special session chaired by Planning Minister Asad Umar in Islamabad on Sunday, the forum instructed all provinces to ensure complete compliance of instructions with full administrative control.
All markets, businesses and shops will remain closed except essential services including Grocery Stores, Medical Stores, Medical Facilities and Vaccination Centres, Vegetable, Fruit, Chicken and Meat Shops, Bakeries, Petrol Pumps, Food Takeaways and E-Commerce (Home Delivery), Utility Services and Media offices.
No Eid holidays in hospitals

LAHORE:Punjab Specialized Healthcare Department has decided that the Eid holidays from 10th-15th May will not be observed in all medical institutions and hospitals in view of corona pandemic in the country.
This was disclosed by Barrister Nabeel Ahmed Awan Secretary Specialized Healthcare Punjab here on Friday. He further said that medical and dental universities and hospitals including offices of VCs, Principals and Medical Superintendents shall remain open during Eid holidays. The offices of the health department shall also be opened and essential staff will perform their official duties during these days, he added. The Secretary SHC&MED further said that the MSs shall ensure COVID SOPs in the hospitals and issue duty rosters for Emergency Department, Operation Theater, Medical Stores and other departments, adding that all lifesaving drugs and other essential medical services would be made available. LAHORE: The government of Punjab announced it would impose restrictions throughout the province to stem the spread of the coronavirus during the Eid holidays.
One can t help but wonder; what will remain open throughout the province during the holidays and what will remain closed?
As per a notification from the Punjab government s Primary and Secondary Health Department, the following places will not be allowed to operate during the Eid holidays:
1. All markets, businesses, offices and shops shall remain closed.
Exceptions:
Pharmacies / Medical Stores, Medical Facilities and Vaccination Centers
Petrol Pumps, Tandoors, Milk/ Dairy Shops, Food Takeaways and E- commerce (Home Delivery) Utility Services (Electricity, Natural Gas. Internet, Cellular Networks / Telecom, Call Centers) and Media)
