“I don’t think we’re at the finish line,” County Mayor Dave Kerner said during an afternoon press conference. “I think we’re in the final chapter, and a lot of bad things can happen in the final chapter.”

A Palm Beach County Commissioner asked the question on Tuesday that many are wondering. Do we have any definitive answer as to there is not one hospital in Palm Beach County that will be one of the first to receive the vaccines?
County Health Director Dr. Alina Alonso with the Florida Department of Health didn t have the answer for Commissioner Maria Sachs, but said that the hospitals to the south that did receive the Pfizer vaccine will eventually be sharing it with the rest of South Florida. As they roll this out to all of the other counties, we re hoping that Region 7 and our hospital staff in contact with COVID patients will all be vaccinated by the end of December.
