LAHORE: No warrant for the arrest of PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz had been issued so far in an inquiry of alleged illegal acquisition of land in Jati Umra, the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on Monday informed the Lahore High Court on Monday.
Headed by Justice Sardar Muhammad Sarfraz Dogar, a two-judge bench, heard Maryam’s petition for pre-arrest bail already granted to her in the inquiry. Maryum was present in the court with her legal team and some party leaders.
NAB’s special prosecutor told the bench the chairman of the bureau had not issued the arrest warrant for Maryum so her custody was not yet required. In light of the prosecutor’s submission, the bench disposed of the petition and directed the NAB to give the petitioner ten-day time, as per a Supreme Court’s decision, for approaching the court if her arrest warrant was to be issued.

LAHORE: PMLN Vice President Maryam Nawaz celebrated her party’s victory in Daska NA-75 by-election and said the narrative of Mian Nawaz Sharif has won.
In a tweet she congratulated PMLN candidate Nosheen Iftikhar for winning the election against all odds. Nawaz Sharif s narrative has won. Whenever fair elections will take place, PML-N will win, she wrote on Twitter. That day is not far when the people will rule the country, not tricksters, she added.
In another tweet, Maryam said Saturday s victory was in the name of the innocent martyrs whose blood was shed in Daska on February 19 to rob the vote.

ISLAMABAD: Interior minister Sheikh Rashid said on Sunday that while the government had yet to receive a request for the removal of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) vice-president Maryam Nawaz’s from the Exit Control List (ECL), the Prime Minister was against any such possibility.
He made the remarks while interacting with reporters at the inauguration ceremony of a collaboration of the World Health Organisation and Directorate of Health (MCI) on raising awareness and providing logistical support for the Covid-19 epidemic.
On the infighting among the opposition Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM), Rashid said their “collapse” would eventually benefit Prime Minister Imran Khan and “further strengthen his government”.

LAHORE: PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz Sharif Saturday said the youth of the former FATA were standing before the Governor House demanding education.
In a tweet, she said ‘the selected’ had announced to turn the Governor House into a university but today the FATA students were standing out and demanding their right to education.
Maryam said the PML-N had given right of education to the youths of FATA and made them realize that this country also belonged to them. “Why are you increasing their sense of deprivation?” she questioned.
