(KAIT) - A $415,000 grant will provide the city of Jonesboro with continuing a key portion of the city’s bicycle and pedestrian plan for the future. According to a media release from the city of Jonesboro, the city received the grant to help with continuing the A-State link portion of the project. The project, which will be funded through ArDOT’s Transportation Alternatives Program, is called the Washington Connection. It will run from the curve on Hope Avenue, north on Houghton Road, and east on Washington to Marion Berry Parkway, city officials said.

JONESBORO — A woman was arrested Thursday morning after drugs were seized from her home in the 100 block of Leggett Street. Jonesboro police initiated a traffic stop near the intersection of Johnson Avenue and Marion Berry Parkway, but as Officer Evan Henry approached the vehicle, it sped away, according to the incident report. A pursuit ensued, but Henry lost sight of the black 2016 Dodge Challenger on Aggie Road. After receiving an address for the vehicle’s owner, Henry went to the residence of Kalin Gragg, 28, of Jonesboro. The muscle car was parked nearby. Digital scales, two bags containing a combined half-ounce of crack and powder cocaine and 3.3 grams of marijuana were among the items seized by JPD. Gragg was subsequently arrested.
