Marion Jones – It’s More Than Meets the Eye
Earlier this week, we reported on the pending handing over of the Belize City Center to the Ministry of Youth and Sports. The building is the last structure to be surrendered from the control of Belize Infrastructure Limited to the respective ministries under the Government of Belize. Today, we visited another facility, the Marion Jones Sporting Complex, which we found to be in a state of disrepair. As it turns out, what you see on the outside is a lot different from the empty spaces and decrepit sections of the building. News Five’s Isani Cayetano reports.
Morgan County crash deemed fatal after head-on collision

A Morgan County crash was deemed fatal Monday after two vehicles crashed head-on.
Brandon A. Guillen, 19, was driving his 2012 Cadillac CTS on MO-5 north of Indigo Road southbound as he began to pass another vehicle. Angela M. Decker, 43, was driving her 2006 Mercury Mariner northbound with her daughter Tamara J. Deroo, 22, in the passenger seat.
As Guillen was passing, the two cars met in the lane and swerved to the east shoulder where they would crash head-on. Both vehicles were totaled.
Deroo was pronounced dead at the scene by Morgan County coroner Marion Jones. Decker and Guillen suffered serious injuries and were transferred to Lake Regional Hospital. Decker was wearing a safety device and it is unknown is Guillen was.
Versailles Woman Killed in Morgan County Head-on Crash
One person was killed and another two injured in a two-vehicle accident that occurred Monday afternoon in Morgan County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a southbound 2012 Cadillac CTS and a northbound 2006 Mercury Mariner were on Missouri 5, just north of Indigo Road at 4:10 p.m. when the Cadillac began to pass another vehicle. Both the Cadillac and Mariner swerved to the east shoulder and struck head-on.
A passenger in the Mariner, 22-year-old Tamara J. Deroo of Versailles, was pronounced dead at 4:30 p.m. by Morgan County Coroner Marion Jones.
The driver of the Mariner, 43-year-old Angela M. Decker of Versailles, and the driver of the Cadillac, 19-year-old Brandon A. Guillen of Camdenton, suffered serious injuries, and both were transported to Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach for treatment.
