SWRHA: People with appointments take priority over walk-in clients - Lincoln Holder Yet again, the South-West Regional Health Authority is encouraging the public to make appointments before visiting any of its covid19 vaccination sites. SWRHA’s corporate communications manager Kevon Gervais told Newsday on Thursday that people with appointments take priority over the walk-in clients. He said, If there are vials (containers storing the World Health Organization-approved vaccine) opened after the person with the last appointment received the vaccine, then those (walk-in clients) would get it. Gervais spoke on behalf of the SWRHA. SWRHA has ten sites in the region. Gervais said as of Tuesday, a total of 1,052 people has been vaccinated, 850 of them on Wednesday.

Staff, patients pleased with SAPA covid19 vaccination drive Monday 3 May 2021 Krishna Samaroo show off his injection point after receiving the covid 19 vaccine at SAPA San Fernando. - Lincoln Holder THE addition of the Southern Academy for the Performing Arts (SAPA) as a mass covid19 vaccination site was a welcome change for patients and staff at the South-West Regional Authority (SWRHA). The national vaccination rollout programme resumed on Monday morning at 8 am. Previously, the SWRHA sites for vaccinations were the Ste Madeleine, Marabella, La Romaine, Siparia, Princes Town, Point Fortin, Freeport and Couva facilities. When Newsday visited those health centres over the past few weeks, there were some hiccups and mixups with appointment dates, among other things. But generally, the process seemed to be running smoothly.
