It may have been fourteen years ago, but Thunder Bay’s Adam Sergerie still remembers being on the ice at the 2007 RBC Cup in Prince George, British Columbia.
The now teacher in Northern Alberta was a member of the Selkirk Steelers of the Manitoba Junior Hockey League, who won the provincial Turnbull Cup before going the full seven games needed to knock off the Humboldt Broncos of the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League to earn a spot in the national tournament.
Hockey Canada this week unveiled hosts for a trio of events set to return in 2022, including the Junior ‘A’ Centennial Cup to take place in Estevan, Saskatchewan.

Algonquin College will be awarding Toronto Maple Leafsâ head coach Sheldon Keefe with an honorary degree at its June convocation ceremony in recognition of his on-ice and community accomplishments.
The announcement comes on the 10th anniversary of Keefe leading the Pembroke Lumber Kings to the franchiseâs only national Junior A championship.
The former owner, general manager and coach of the Pembroke Lumber Kings will be recognized for his on-ice and community accomplishments during Algonquin s June convocation ceremony.
