In a new fundraising initiative, the first-ever Isabel Hospice Christmas tree recycling scheme raised more than £15,000 for the charity.

Welwyn Hatfield residents were able to book Isabel Hospice to come and collect their Christmas trees while making a charitable donation to the hospice at the same time.
The task of collecting over 850 trees was undertaken by a community partnership of businesses donating their time, manpower, vehicles and equipment including Evoke Tree Services, Continental Landscapes, Mark Walker Grounds Maintenance Limited, Mears, Brian Robson Coachworks, Cromer Hyde Farm, and Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council.

Isle Of Wight Tree Chipping Donations Raise Over £800 For Charity

More than £800 has been raised by Island firm TDG Tree Services - for The Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance.
As previously reported by Isle of Wight Radio, the environmentally-friendly firm collects real trees and will then distribute their chippings at the Island s parks and attractions.
This year, the business says it is pleased to reveal they raised more than last year for their chosen charity.
Bucks County is expanding COVID-19 testing starting next week, and officials annouced those same sites would eventually be flipped to become vaccination centers once the vaccine is ready for the public here.
At the county commissioners meeting Monday officials announced 7-day PCR testing sites at Bucks County Community College s Lower Bucks and Upper Bucks campuses and on the campus of Delaware Valley University will open for nine hours a day starting Jan. 11.
The daily testing sites at Delaware Valley University in Doylestown and the Bucks County Community College s Upper Bucks and Lower Bucks campuses are planned to continue for 21 days after testing starts, said county Chief Operating Officer Margaret McKevitt.

A tree surgery based in Welwyn Garden City had all of its tools stolen just days before Christmas.
Evoke Tree Services had around £10,000 of equipment stolen, including dozens of chainsaws, of December 22.
