ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Minister of State for Climate Change Zartaj Gul lauded the Danish government for its interest in Pakistan’s green initiatives and furthering it through enhanced collaboration in the shape of transfer of technology and capacity-building of the relevant sectors for effective implementation of the Prime Minister Imran Khan’s vision.
Danish Ambassador Lis Rosenholm on Thursday called on Minister of State for Climate Change Zartaj Gul Wazir and conveyed her government’s interest to join and support various green initiatives launched under the Prime Minister Imran Khan’s vision for Clean Green Pakistan.

Islamabad : The World Bank has announced all-out financial and technical support to Prime Minister Imran Khan’s countrywide initiatives for environmental conservation and protection and enhanced disaster resilience, especially Green Stimulus one, said country director of the bank Najy Benhassine.
Najy Benhassine disclosed this during a meeting with Prime Minister’s Special Assistant on Climate Change here on Thursday.
Leading a Work Bank delegation, Najy Benhassine called on Malik Amin and conveyed the bank’s all-out support to Pakistan s green post-pandemic economic recovery initiative and afforestation and nature conservation programmes, particularly Green Stimulus project.

ISLAMABAD: The World Bank has approved funding of $120 million pledged for Prime Minister Imran Khanâs Green Stimulus initiative to boost green jobs in the country for those rendered unemployed due to the Covid-19 crisis, a statement said.
World Bank Country Director Najy Benhassine told PMâs Special Assistant on Climate Change Malik Amin Aslam on Thursday that the bank would provide all-out financial and technical support for various green initiatives launched for environmental conservation as well as for enhanced disaster resilience.
He met the special assistant at the Ministry of Climate Change.
âHaving been impressed with the marvellous green initiatives of the incumbent government of Prime Minister Imran Khan, we at the World Bank are mulling over replication of Pakistanâs green initiatives in other countries in different parts of the world,â Benhassine said.

A funding of $120 million has been approved by the World Bank for Prime Minister’s Green Stimulus Initiative and it can be utilised by Pakistan to boost green jobs for workers who have been laid off due to Covid-19, said World Bank Country Director for Pakistan Najy Benhassine.
Talking to Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Climate Change Malik Amin Aslam on Thursday, he recommended the government to engage unemployed people in the country’s green projects, which were being implemented for conservation and protection of the nature.
