Emerald Necklace Conservancy Settles into Curley House – Jamaica Plain Gazette

When the Emerald Necklace Conservancy was chosen by the City to be the new tenant for the James Michael Curley home on the Jamaicaway, most said it couldn’t have been a more perfect fit. The James Michael Curley House on the Jamaicaway has become the new operational headquarters of the Emerald Necklace Conservancy – a very active and growing non-profit that promotes and preserves the entire Emerald Necklace from the Back Bay to Franklin Park. While the group began to move into the Home in March 2020, that was blocked by COVID-19 and now they are hoping to begin a full relocation and have a welcome party when it’s safe to do so. Late last month, they decided to have a virtual Open House, which was hosted by the Friends of the Curley House and other interested parties.

Bridges along the Emerald Necklace will soon glow green at night

March 3 update: By popular demand, “Lights in the Necklace” will extend until March 31, the Emerald Necklace Conservancy said Wednesday. It was originally scheduled to wrap up March 13, so that means there will be plenty more green in Boston parks on St. Patrick’s Day come the 17th. The conservancy is also encouraging visitors to enter a social media contest to win a branded baseball cap. To enter, they ask that you follow @EmeraldNecklaceConservancy on Instagram and use the hashtag #NecklaceLightsPhotoContest in one of three categories: Best Selfie, Best Pet, and Best Creative Picture. Winners will be announced in April. The original article from Feb. 11 is below.
