EAU CLAIRE â An Eau Claire County Jail inmate attacked a fellow inmate unprovoked, breaking five bones in the other inmateâs face, authorities said.
Adam R. Noskoviak, 31, 5328 Prill Road, was charged Tuesday in Eau Claire County Court with felony counts of aggravated battery and battery by prisoners.
According to the criminal complaint:
At 9:11 p.m. on Nov. 30, Noskoviak assaulted the other inmate in the dayroom area of G-block, located in the medium-security housing unit.
Noskoviak was sitting at the top of the dayroom stairs when he suddenly stood, quickly walked down the stairs and ran toward the other inmate in a lunging manner.
EAU CLAIRE â The Eau Claire Police Department this year has expanded its crisis intervention program to better work with people with mental illness.
As of Friday, the Police Department has responded to 1,347 mental health calls in 2020, which is about 5% of the departmentâs total calls for service.
And countless other police service calls contain some type of mental health component, said Sgt. Bridget Coit, who oversees the crisis intervention program for the Police Department.
âThis year we expanded crisis intervention training within our department,â she said. âWe strive for quality training so we can keep current on mental health issues.â

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WKBT) The COVID vaccine has arrived in Eau Claire. Doctors and nurses at Mayo Clinic Health System in Eau Claire received their first dose of the Pfizer vaccine today.
It’s being given to health care workers across the country first, which leaves one of the recently vaccinated doctors feeling positive about the future.
“This is a historic day for our region. and a historic day for the Chippewa Valley. Because this gives all of us hope. It gives all of us caregivers hope, it gives all the citizens of the Chippewa Valley hope. This is the beginning of the end of this pandemic as the vaccine is rolled out,” said Richard Helmers M.D. the Regional Vice President of Mayo Clinic Health System.
