According to officials, the incident happened around 9:30 a.m. at the 96th Street Station on the Upper West Side along the 1, 2, and 3 lines. Authorities did not release many other details regarding the assault the MTA employee was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries, police said. Southbound 2 and 3 express trains were temporarily running on the local 1 line while the conductor was helped at the station.
