It s not too late to get vaccinated for COVID-19.
Public health officials are urging people to get vaccinated as the delta variant spreads in Indiana. The vaccine offers protection against severe illness, hospitalization and death from COVID-19.
People receiving food at the Aug. 6 Fresh Friday distribution at Hoosier Hills Food Bank will be able to receive a free COVID-19 vaccine if they want.
From 10 a.m. to noon, the Monroe County Health Department and IU Health Community Health will be giving shots of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine to anyone 18 years or older who wants one. This is a one-shot vaccine, so there is no need for a second shot.
