It aims to provide COVID-19 vaccines to 300,000 students at 250 schools over 13 days, adding mobile vaccination clinics to the 19 school-based vaccine clinics that already exist.
According to a tweet from LAUSD Superintendent Austin Beutner, the program will build on other relief efforts that the district offered throughout the pandemic, which included 130 million meals, 40 million school supply items, 500,000 students with computer and internet access [and] 1.3 million COVID tests. What we re trying to do is to make sure our students have access in a place they know, they trust, Beutner told NBC4 in an interview on Thursday. Young adults need agency.

MURDER suspect Barry Morphew – who has been accused of killing his wife Suzanne – was once drafted by the Toronto Blue Jays and dreamed of playing professional baseball.
The 53-year-old was arrested earlier this month and charged with Suzanne s murder after an almost year-long hunt to locate the mother-of-two. Her body has still not been found.

After a banner year quarterbacking the St. Thomas More Cougars, Walker Howard received one more honor to wrap up his junior season.
Howard, an LSU commit for the class of 2022, was named the 2021 Louisiana Gatorade Player of the Year. He is the first player from St. Thomas More to receive the award.
Howard led the Cougars to a Division II State Championship and a perfect 10-0 record in 2020, throwing for 3,430 yards and 39 touchdowns. His stellar season was capped off with 381 yards passing and four touchdowns in a 35-28 win over De La Salle in the state title game.
Howard joins recent Gatorade Louisiana Football Players of the Year Christian Westcott (2019-20, Lakeshore High School), Derek Stingley Jr. (2018-19, Dunham School), Slade Bolden (2017-18, West Monroe High School), and Keytaon Thompson (2016-17, Landry-Walker High School).

A Juda teen is dead after a early morning car crash Wednesday along Middle Juda Road just west of Richland Road. The Green County Sheriff’s Office reports the vehicle, driven by 18-year-old Hunter Harrison went off the road, hit a tree, and caught fire. Harrison, who was a senior at Monroe High School, was pronounced dead at the scene. The sheriff’s office cites speed as a factor in the crash.
