A Coroglen man was arrested for assault after a heated altercation at a Coroglen farm. After a dispute he allegedly drove a tractor aggressively at his work colleagues, endangering them. He will be appearing in court soon.
Tuesday, May 4
A Waihi man was arrested for assault in relation to a historic family harm incident that occurred on April 24 at Waihi Beach. He allegedly punched a female victim in the back of her head. He has been charged and will be appearing in court soon.

Whangārei squash player Riley-Jack Vette-Blomquist triumphed over his on-court arch enemy - but favourite fishing companion – to win the AON New Zealand Junior Open at the end of April.

NZ On Air has greenlit 11 innovative new youth projects to be distributed through a variety of online platforms used by young audiences.
Up to $2.4m has been invested in content that will focus on youth voices, perspectives and issues in Aotearoa.
The projects were selected following a call out for Scripted, Factual or Music content that could ‘cut through the online noise’ and strongly connect with 15-24 year olds in New Zealand. Emphasis was placed on reaching youth audiences via the platforms they most actively engage with, in line with NZ On Air’s 2020

If wealth could be measured by the ownership of cattle, 2021 Fonterra Dairy Woman of the Year Belinda Price is a wealthy woman. She was awarded that title in Taupo last month and it comes with a $20,000 scholarship.
But Price s financial worth has come mainly through dairy cows.
Between two farms she and husband Ben own almost 1000, and selling most of them this month will provide yet another boost towards their goal - to own a dairy farm.
