Dubai private schools allowed to host graduation ceremonies this year

The private schools in Dubai will be allowed to host graduation ceremonies this year. This was revealed by Dubai’s Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) on Wednesday.
KHDA shared this ‘great news for graduates’ on its twitter account.
According to a tweet by KHDA, graduation ceremonies for Dubai private school students finishing high school can go ahead this year.
But authority has urged schools to follow specific health and safety protocols during the ceremonies.
Last month KHDA has announced that private schools in Dubai will not be increasing tuition fees for the 2021-22 academic year.

The KHDA said ceremonies can be held for students completing Grade 12/Year 13 this year.
Private schools in Dubai can host graduation ceremonies this year, the emirate’s education regulator has announced.
Graduates, guests, and academic staff who are not fully vaccinated against Covid-19 must present a negative result of a PCR test taken no more than 48 hours prior to the event.
Calling it “great news for graduates”, the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) tweeted on Wednesday: “Graduation ceremonies for Dubai private school students finishing high school can go ahead this year.”
New IB-curriculum school to open in Dubai this August

The Primary and Kindergarten School will have a capacity of approximately 1,500 students.
A new International Baccalaureate (IB) school predominantly for Emiratis, is set to open in Dubai this September.
The co-educational Emirates National School (ENS) located in Al Khawaneej I will open its doors in August 2021 with its Early Years and Primary Years School Programs from KG1 to Grade 5.
Mohammed Darwish, CEO of Permits and Compliance at the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA), in a statement said, “We’re excited to welcome Emirates National School to Dubai’s education landscape. The opening of new schools adds to the variety on offer in Dubai and empowers parents with greater choice.”
No events or gatherings are allowed on campus or at external venues

Schools across Dubai can arrange online graduation ceremonies as no events or gatherings will be permitted on campus or at external venues, Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA), the emirate’s education regulator, has confirmed.
“Graduation ceremonies can only take place online this year – no events or gatherings are allowed on school premises or at external venues. We encourage schools to work together with students to use technology in fun and creative ways that enable students to have a meaningful, memorable and safe graduation experience,” KHDA said, as part of an updated list of protocols.
