The Top Employers Institute has certified telecommunications giant, Vodafone Ghana, as a Top Employer in Africa for the third consecutive year according to an annual research.
The certification was based on a Human Resource (HR) Best Practices Survey that covered six HR domains consisting of 20 topics such as People Strategy, Work Environment, Talent Acquisition, Learning, Well-being and Diversity & Inclusion and more.
This remarkable achievement affirms Vodafone’s position as leader in exceptional HR policies and outstanding working conditions even during this time of extreme distress due to the pandemic. Receiving certification as a Top Employer also highlights the organisation’s dedication to a better world of work that is exhibited through excellent people practices.
In September 2020, His Excellency Tom N oslash;rring, an accomplished career diplomat who has received prominent awards over the years was appointed the Ambassador of Denmark to Ghana.

The way we work has been irrevocably changed by the challenges of this difficult and uncertain year.
Today, more people are working from their homes than in offices as organisations shift towards a fully remote or hybrid work model to adhere to social distancing protocols and other measures to curb the spread of Covid-19.
The success of a remote work environment has meant that several organisations are now looking at making this a more permanent shift in the future.
A LinkedIn survey found that while 43 per cent of respondents are now currently working remotely, a whopping 45 per cent of them are looking to continue with remote work post-Covid-19 and create a more fluid and flexible way of working. However, the move towards remote work has meant that employees need a new support system in place to cater to the change and unique needs that spring from working from home. This necessitates a reimagining of the functionalities of every organisations�

Dear Mayor and Council President,
This letter is a follow-up to my Dec. 8, 2020 correspondence. As noted, the original remarks were brief. It was based upon my learning of the court documents that provided information that should make it irresponsible to consider the proposed candidate to be the Chief of Police of our city. As a longtime resident, as well as in my case professionally, there is concern about the city’s actions and that the law is not being adhered to properly. Not to make any allegation, but to clarify what investigative steps were taken by the city, as it appears items were not discovered or disclosed. Were those making recommendations to the mayor and the city council aware of the relevant information during the interview and confirmation process?
