Police are investigating after a man was found shot to death inside of a vehicle Friday afternoon on the North Freeway, the Houston Police Department confirmed.

Rhode Island Governor Dan McKee was joined by the members of Rhode Island’s Congressional delegation at the Institute for Nonviolence in Providence on Monday to address the recent violence in the city as well as Pawtucket.

On Monday, Cedric Huntley with the Institute announced that a 19-year-old woman shot in Pawtucket Sunday night passed after as a result of her injuries, resulting in the city’s second homicide in a matter of days.
In less than 48 hours gun violence has swept across the city in Providence. The violence has left more than 50 bullet casings on the ground in three neighborhoods and in Pawtucket.
