Temasek launches three tranche offering of USD bonds July 26, 2021 Temasek Financial (I) Ltd (TFin-I), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Singapore state investor Temasek Holdings, is launching a three tranche offering comprising 10-year, 20-year and 40-year bonds.  The 10-year T2031-USD Temasek Bond, 20-year T2041-USD Temasek Bond, and 40-year T2061-USD Temasek Bond will be issued under its $25-billion Guaranteed Global Medium Term Note Programme, according to a statement. The bonds will be unconditionally and irrevocably guaranteed by Temasek.   Net proceeds from the issuance of the T2031-USD, T2041-USD and T2061-USD Temasek Bonds will be provided to Temasek and its investment holding companies to fund their ordinary course of business. 

Private lenders seen trouncing state peers in India s economic recovery

The widening gap between India’s private banks and their state-backed peers is expected to be laid bare this earnings season with investors looking for further signs that players such as HDFC Bank Ltd. are better placed to step up lending when the country’s second coronavirus wave subsides. Many shareholders will be on the lookout for indications that private lenders have enhanced already stronger buffers to give them more wiggle room to step up lending in an eventual recovery. One metric is key private sector banks’ market share in terms of loans surged about 36 per cent in 2020 from about 21 per cent five years ago.
