Why Muncie needs younger voices
As the newest member of the Muncie Redevelopment Commission, I have also found that I am the youngest, both currently on the Commission, and, assumedly, in the history of the commission since its conception in 1973. I point this fact out to make a crucial statement: our city needs younger individuals to get involved, politically or otherwise, to ensure that our best future is created.
When the city council appointed me to the Redevelopment Commission, I was, and am, honored. To have a voice in our city’s development, and redevelopment, is a responsibility that I do not take lightly. I have enjoyed hearing success stories, such as that of the endeavors of the Muncie Downtown Development Partnership, responsible for aiding our city’s downtown in being the best that it can be, and engaging our community through creative advertising initiatives.
