Comics writer Mark Millar is known for some of Marvel s most talked-about stories of the 2000s. But he credits a 2003 conversation with Stan Lee, the cocreator of some of Marvel s biggest characters like Spider-Man and the X-Men, with inspiring his trek away from Marvel and into a comics universe of his own. Growing up I always wanted to work at Marvel and DC, Millar told Insider during a phone interview last week. But Stan said that every generation needs new characters.

Speaking to The Herald Magazine about his new superhero TV series Jupiter’s Legacy, Millar has said that he is already working Netflix on a second series. “Next year there will be Jupiter season two. There will be The Magic Order, a horror show, and a big spy project,” Millar said. He also revealed that his company Millarworld is also working on a Spanish language project shooting in Mexico and a Japanese anime series that will tie in with Jupiter’s Legacy.

Mark Millar signed an exclusive deal with Netflix a couple of years ago as the streaming giant planned for its post-Marvel superhero world.
Several things happened since to delay the start of the Millarworld universe, but the first series is now coming in May to Netflix. That series is Jupiter’s Legacy and a teaser trailer just dropped for it.
