NEW DELHI: The ED has conducted searches at multiple locations in Bhopal, Hyderabad and Bengaluru as part of its money laundering probe in the over Rs 3,000-crore alleged e-tender rigging racket of Madhya Pradesh, official sources said on Thursday.
They said the agency launched the searches to collect evidence early this week at locations of various suspects involved in the case, and the action is being conducted under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA).

Bhopal Police in Madhya Pradesh has arrested a serial killer who is suspected to have killed six people after luring them with stories about a mythical hidden treasure. According to officials, the suspect duped people on the pretext of offering them a share in a treasure he knew how to find. He then murdered his lenders in cold blood to avoid paying them back.

The Madhya Pradesh Police has registered a case against a woman in Sagar district for pouring boiling oil on her husband s face. The accused has been identified as 35-year-old Shivkumari Ahirwar, while the victim is 38-year-old Arvind Ahirwar.

The Madhya Pradesh Police arrested and booked comedian Munawar Faruqui for allegedly hurting religious sentiments by making derogatory comments about Hindu deities, NDTV reported on Saturday.
The first information report was filed on the complaint of Eklavya Singh Gaur, the chief of Hindutva group Hind Rakshak Sangathan, according to reports. Gaur is the son of Bharatiya Janata Party legislator Malini Gaur.
Police said the charges against Faruqui, a Mumbai-based comedian, were imposed after his performance at the Monroe Cafe in Indore. “During the show, the comedian allegedly mocked Hindu gods and goddesses,” a police official said.
