This afternoon, at Government House, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC, Governor of Queensland, received the Clerk of the Parliament, Mr Neil Laurie for the presentation of the following two Bills, to which the Governor granted Assent:
Liquor (Artisan Liquor) Amendment Bill 2021: A bill for an Act to amend the
Liquor Act 1992 to support and regulate the emerging craft beer and artisan spirits industries.

Cape Town - The City of Cape Townâs Law Enforcement, along with police, shut down an illegal event that was attended by roughly 300 people.
Mayco Member for Safety and Security JP Smith said that on Thursday night, officers shut down the illegal event which was hosted at a school in the CBD.
The organiser was fined R4 000 for contravening multiple laws.
âThe organiser of the gathering, with roughly 300 people in attendance, had no permit as required by the Cityâs Events By-law and the national Safety at Sports and Recreational Events Act.
