The league phase of the 2020-’21 edition of the Indian Super League came to a smashing end on Sunday as Mumbai City FC edged ATK Mohun Bagan to win the League Winners’ Shield and thus bag the AFC Champions League spot for next season.
In the penultimate game, FC Goa held their nerves to secure a 0-0 draw against Hyderabad FC and join Mumbai, ATKMB and NorthEast United in the semi-finals.

Margao: Mumbai City FC extended their unbeaten run in Hero Indian Super League (Hero ISL) 2020-21 to eight games after a 3-1 win against Bengaluru FC at the Fatorda Stadium yesterday.
Mourtada Fall opened the scoring for the Islanders in the 9th minute and Bipin Singh doubled their advantage six minutes later.
Sunil Chhetri scored a goal from the penalty spot for Bengaluru in the 79th minute but Bartholomew Ogbeche netted Mumbai’s third five minutes later.
The Islanders ended the game with 10 men after Ahmed Jahouh was sent off for the second time this season.
