The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) is looking to conduct a clean up and structural assessment at Philippine General Hospital (PGH) starting Tuesday, May 18, or as soon as the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) gives the green light for it.

Mapping damage to the structure will immediately be carried out once the BFP gives the PGH management the go signal to clear the areas affected by the weekend fire, which hit the hospital’s third floor service wing building, DPWH Secretary Mark A. Villar said Monday, May 17.

With the established hotline 16502 of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), the public is allowed to call for immediate response on defects along national roads.
“The general public may report any defect or concern along national roads that need immediate rectification and we will do our best to implement palliative measures, if not long-term solutions,” DPWH Secretary Mark Villar said Thursday, February 4.
The state infrastructure chief made the call, citing recent resolved issues along national roads in the National Capital Region with the help of citizens’ feedback.

Public Works and Highways Secretary Mark A. Villar made the call, citing recent resolved issues along national roads in the National Capital Region with the help of citizens’ feedback.
“Through the DPWH Secretary’s Hotline 16502 which is operational 24/7, social media platforms, we can promptly attend to complaints on road damage and other DPWH-related concerns,” said Secretary Villar.
Among the recently resolved grievances in NCR include the reported damaged steel on manhole along Aurora Boulevard in Sta. Cruz, Manila in January 22, 2021 that was addressed following day of January 23, 2021 by the DPWH North Manila District Engineering Office.
