U.S. stocks fall as yields rise, dollar makes gains

NEW YORK, New York - U.S. stocks fell on Wednesday while the U.S. dollar rose and Treasuries fell. Stock indices were sharply lower but recovered sharply in late trading to finish with only modest losses
U.S. crude oil imports and exports both increased during the week ending May 14, the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) said Wednesday.
U.S. crude oil imports averaged 6.4 million barrels a day last week, up by about 923,000 barrels a day from the previous week, while crude oil exports averaged about 3.3 million barrels a day, up by about 1.5 million from the previous week, as revealed by the Weekly Petroleum Status Report.
