Temple man indicted for punching 2 officers

Isiah Lowe was indicted on two counts of assault of a public servant, both third-degree felonies. Lowe remained in the Bell County Jail in lieu of a total of $300,000 in bonds, jail records showed. The assaults occurred after an auto-pedestrian accident occurred at about 6:30 p.m. May 7 in the area of East Adams Avenue and Fowler Drive, Temple Police Department Alejandra Arreguin said. While officers were en route to the accident, it was reported that a man was running around chasing people. When they arrived, officers contacted Lowe and attempted to detain him. He is accused of punching two officers in the face, which resulted in the use of two tasers and a K-9 unit to subdue the man, Arreguin said.

Killeen Applebees Is Investigated By TABC For Serious Allegations

The Texas Alcohol Beverage Commission (TABC) is investigating the Killeen Applebee’s at 2700 E. Central Texas Expressway due to horrific accusations against a former employee. If the investigation finds that the accusations are true, this could be very bad news for the popular restaurant. Monty Darrell Bryant a former worker at Applebee s, who was sentenced to jail back in 2009 for failing to register as a sex offender, was arrested on May 6th on accusations made by a teenage co-worker. The details of this story are disturbing. Bryant is being held in Bell County Jail on a million-dollar bond and is facing first-degree felony charges of aggravated assault of a child, three-second-degree felony charges of sexual assault, and a third-degree felony charge of indecency with a child by exposure.

Temple homicide suspect claims he shot man in self-defense; detective draws different conclusion

A suspect charged with murder in the slaying of a 48-year-old Temple man claimed he fired his gun in self-defense when he was attacked, according to an arrest affidavit. August Shaton Sanders, 26, was arrested Saturday in the shooting death of Dewayne Hambrick. Sanders remained in the Bell County Jail on Thursday in lieu of a $150,000 bond for the first-degree felony charge, records showed. Sanders is listed as a Fort Hood resident on jail records but the affidavit says that he was living at the Temple property where the shooting occurred. Temple officers were called to the Navigators Unlimited LLC trucking company at 3910 Shallow Ford West Road at about 4:21 a.m. Saturday.
