Staff of the University of the South Pacific offered prayers for Vice Chancellor Professor Pal Ahluwalia and his wife Sandy Price who were deported by the Fijian Government today. Reflecting on Mr Ahluwalia’s nature of resorting to prayer both in good and challenging times, USP Laucala Campus’s Professor Matakite Ma’ata called on staff to pray for the couple. “Whenever we have time to get together whether in good or bad times Mr Ahluwalia would always start off with a prayer so it is only fitting that we all do so in this instance,” Prof Ma’ata told staff that gathered for a talanoa session today.
