18-year-old Tyson Conner Rocco was taken into police custody Saturday night and booked on multiple charges.

The 12-year-old and 14-year-old boys who were hit were transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

SANDY Police have arrested a man believed to have shot at two boys in Sandy on Friday afternoon.
Tyson Conner Rocco, 18, was arrested Saturday in connection with Friday s drive-by shooting near 8800 South and 200 East, during which two Midvale boys, ages 13 and 14, were injured. The boys, who were walking along the sidewalk at the time of the shooting, are expected to survive.
One of the boys was shot twice, in the left thigh and the ankle, and the other was shot in the hand as they were running from Rocco, who had pulled up alongside the boys and asked where they were from before he started shooting at them, according to a jail booking statement.
