As a result, police obtained a warrant and searched Flood’s phone. She had been searching things like “what type of people enjoy abusing other people’s children” and “what does it mean to have a sudden urge to beat a child that’s not yours.”
“It’s like this evil was in front of my face for years and I never saw it,” Fridley said.
The parents said Flood had been their full-time babysitter since August and never suspected she was capable of something like this.

Kirstie Flood, a 29-year-old from Smyrna, Ga., was charged in five separate incidents by the time she was 21, including for battery, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported. Her most recent arrest had been in November 2012, when police pulled her over and found her in possession of drugs, according to the report.

A Georgia woman was arrested in connection with the death of a 2-year-old girl she was babysitting, authorities said Tuesday.
Kirstie Flood, 29, was charged with two counts of murder, malice murder, aggravated battery and first-degree cruelty to a child, the Sandy Springs Police Department said.
An investigation was launched Dec. 9 after a medical call was made regarding an unresponsive child in an apartment. The child, identified as Fallon Fridley by the parents, was pronounced dead at a hospital.

The City Council announced Monday night following an executive session that current Sand Springs Police Chief Mike Carter has been appointed to the new position. Carter is expected to take over day-to-day operations in March from interim City Manager Daniel Bradley.
The position of city manager was last held by Elizabeth Gray, who left in May after six years of service and took a position with the city of Bethany.

On Dec. 9, the Sandy Springs Police Department launched an investigation after a medical call was made in reference to an unresponsive child inside at an apartment on Monterey Parkway. The toddler had been entrusted into the care of 29-year-old Kirstie Flood, police said.
The 2-year-old, identified by family friends as Fallon Fridley, was rushed to Children s Healthcare of Atlanta where she was pronounced dead.
