DREAMS of a white Christmas in Brighton and Hove may have to be replaced with the reality of a wet one. The Met Office has issued a weather warning for rain across the city on Wednesday and Thursday, ahead of the big day itself on Friday. The weather warning, which is in place from 6am on Wednesday until 6am on Christmas Eve, covers the whole of Sussex as well as London, the South West and south Wales.
The weather warning is in place on Wednesday and Thursday A Met Office spokesman said: Heavy rainfall may lead to flooding in places and disruption to travel.

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) We are seeing rain or snow showers depending on where you live this morning. They will taper off around lunchtime and we will see a few peeks of sun this afternoon.
Temperatures will be in the upper 30s today. There will be some light lake effect snow off of Lake Erie in Orleans, Genesee and northwestern Monroe Counties overnight. The band won t stay in one place long so no significant accumulation is expected.
Winter officially arrives on Monday. We will some sunshine breaking out through the day with temperatures.
Snow showers move in Monday night through Tuesday. We will see plenty of sunshine on Wednesday with temperatures into the lower 40s.

The First Alert Weather Team has issued a Yellow Alert for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. We want to give you a heads up that the weather will likely affect Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Whenever possible we are going to start issuing alerts a bit earlier to help you prepare.
Thursday will start off mild with rain then a change over to snow as temperatures drop with a cold front.
The timing of the changeover to snow is still uncertain. Although, it still looks like we will see plowable snow from the storm and then additional accumulations from lake effect snow Friday & Saturday.
